Sample 4-Day Itinerary

Here’s a sample plan to make the most of your time tracking gorillas in Bwindi.

Day 1 — Arrival & Transfer

Arrive in Kampala or Entebbe, then transfer to Bwindi with scenic views along the way. Evening briefing and lodge dinner.

Day 2 — Gorilla Tracking

Early start for the trek into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Spend one hour with a habituated gorilla family and return to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 3 — Community Experience

Visit a local village to learn about Batwa culture, traditional crafts, and conservation initiatives. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 4 — Departure

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and return to Kampala or continue on to your next Uganda destination.
